About Janis…Moving to Southeastern Wisconsin in 1980 was a definite change of pace for this native New Yorker; but after almost thirty years in the Lakes area Janis still has the energy and excitement that first brought her here. Whether it’s walking the Kettle Moraine forests, boating on Geneva Lake, or biking the White River Trail, there’s always something keeping Janis involved, excited, and informed about the local community. A former educator and writer, she believes education, communication, and information are essential ingredients for successful customer service. Professional Affiliations
Janis lives in Lake Geneva with her husband of 29 years, John Kaminski, a dentist, and their two children. A dedicated community volunteer, she established the Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Pudgy Bear Fund. She serves on the foundation board of directors of a local hospital and has served several terms on the board of the Geneva Lakes Women’s Association. A graduate of Marquette University and The University of Chicago, Janis enjoys writing about travel and architecture in her free time.

An Accredited Buyer Representative and e-Pro (Internet Professional), Janis continues to refine and develop her technological expertise and knowledge of the real estate market. She is currently on track to complete coursework for the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)and Graduate Realtor Institute, GRI designations.
